About the Opportunity

Our client, a nationally recognized middle-market investment bank, is expanding its advisory platform in response to sustained transaction volume and increasing client demand. The firm is seeking an experienced Vice President to lead transaction execution while partnering closely with Managing Directors on client development and strategic advisory engagements.

This leadership position offers the opportunity to manage complex mergers and acquisitions, capital raising assignments, and strategic advisory engagements across a diverse client base. Vice Presidents are empowered to lead deal teams, mentor junior bankers, and build lasting relationships with business owners, private equity sponsors, and executive leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead execution of mergers and acquisitions transactions
Manage transaction teams from engagement through closing
Review complex financial models and valuation analyses
Oversee preparation of client presentations and marketing materials
Coordinate due diligence processes
Develop and maintain client relationships
Support Managing Directors in business development initiatives
Mentor Associates and Analysts
Manage transaction timelines and deliverables
Lead negotiations with clients and counterparties
Review transaction documentation with legal and financial advisors
Participate in industry networking and business development events
Identify cross-selling opportunities across advisory services
Ensure exceptional client service throughout engagements
Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
6+ years of investment banking experience
Demonstrated experience leading live M&A transactions
Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise
Excellent client relationship management skills
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
Outstanding leadership and mentoring abilities
Strong negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple complex engagements
Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills
Proven project management capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

MBA from a recognized university
FINRA Series 79 and Series 63 licenses
Existing middle-market client relationships
Industry specialization in healthcare, industrials, technology, or business services
Capital raising transaction experience
Business development track record
